Telemedicine solution provider Neurosynaptic raises Series A funding

Healthcare solutions provider Neurosynaptic has raised an undisclosed amount series A round of funding from Healthquad, Indian Angel Network and Axilor Ventures.

Neurosynaptic’s Board will be joined by Healthquad and Indian Angel Network, Earlier, the startup received strategic investments from e-Zest Solutions Ltd.

Founded in 2002 by Sameer Subhash Sawarkar and Rajeev Kumar, Neurosynaptic has developed a cloud-based platform, ReMeDi™ revolutionising the remote healthcare space in India with its 1600 deployments reaching 45 Million population. ReMeDi™ has been deployed at several locations across the globe, impacting healthcare in several developing countries.

The funding will be used to attain International Certifications and launch of its products and to scale international business in Africa and South / South East Asia and further penetration across India. “We are looking at exciting times ahead. The soon-to-be-launched ReMeDi-NOVA (an upgraded version of the existing product) and pay-per-use model with cloud, mobile technologies, UX and analytics, shall revolutionise the last-mile healthcare access,” Sawarkar said in a statement.

The statement also added that the global telemedicine market is expected to hit the US$ 35,500 million mark by 2020 growing at a compounded annual growth rate of 15%.

Neurosynaptic has earlier been selected for the prestigious Technology Pioneer Award by the World Economic Forum, Switzerland; the Global Indus Technovator Award by IBC, MIT, Boston, was chosen as the fastest growing social enterprise in the health category by the ‘Action For India’ Forum, Delhi, India.
