Social marketing startup OrangeTwig raises $1 Mn seed funding

Social media marketing startup OrangeTwig has raised a Seed round of $1 Mn funding from an undisclosed Silicon Valley investor. The fundings will be used to expand their 5 member team, aggregate the sales and marketing operations, and develop an enterprise solution for large retail brands.

Currently, Orange Twig helps Really Small Business (RSBs) move from e-commerce towards social commerce. The setup Facebook stores to help RSBs leverage their friends’ and customers’ social graphs for their sales and marketing efforts. This San Francisco and Delhi-based startup was founded in 2012 by Karan Jassar, Sakhil Chawla and Sahiba Sandhu, launched their first product in 2013.

The SaaS platform automates the social media content for eCommerce sellers, therefore enhancing the sales channel—offering a combined package for $10-60 on a monthly basis. The company will now be focusing on enterprise clients and will offer packages starting $1000.
