ShopClues co-founder couple in a battle of charges against each other

Sandeep Aggarwal and Radhika Aggarwal, the ShopClues co-founder couple, is in a bitter vocal battle over their importance in the firm. Sandeep has accused her wife of stripping him of its voting rights and taking all the credit for the startup’s growth. However, Radhika Aggarwal, currently chief business office of the company, vehemently disagreed with the accusations and defended herself by stating that “I am shocked and devastated to see the levels to which Sandeep will stoop in our personal separation battle with little consideration for our children and family. I will not be commenting on any personal matters. However, I continue to maintain that ShopClues was always a group effort, to acknowledge which is unpalatable to Sandeep Aggarwal”. The couple had filed for divorce some time back, and had been living separately since last 6 months.

The company has had a rocky relationship with its founders. ShopClues was was founded by the Aggarwals and Sanjay Sethi in 2011. But, about two years later, Sandeep Aggarwal was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US over allegations of insider trading during his previous job as an analyst at Collins Stewart in the US. Subsequently, he was replaced and also left the firm. Sandeep Aggarwal has also filed a criminal defamation case against Sanjay and Radhika in the Delhi courts in March 2017.
