The Rajasthan DigiFest and Hackathon 3.0 is happening in Udaipur

The year 2017 has witnessed a lot of exciting and surprising things for the City of Lakes. Yet another thing is happening in Udaipur marking a proud year-end. The Rajasthan DigiFest which is one of the largest tech startup events of India will be organized by Department of Information Technology and Communication (DoIT&C), Government of Rajasthan on 2nd and 3rd December 2017.

The venue for the same is Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. To grace the event, as the Guest of Honour, Honorable Chief Minister Smt Vasundhara Raje will be addressing the participants and dignitaries from across the country.

All about Rajasthan DigiFest in Udaipur

Rajasthan DigiFest is a revered and highly anticipated event appealing to thousands of budding entrepreneurs, business luminaries, and aspiring students. The Fest will provide a beneficial opportunity to receive financial aid from the government and investors in form of grants.

The two-day event will witness eminent speakers discussing ideas and showcasing innovations in the field of IT, conducting workshops for the students and entrepreneurs.

DigiFest Udaipur will focus on bridging the skill and knowledge gap between the output of formal (undergraduate) education and expectations of the Indian and global IT industry especially in terms of latest technologies.

The third edition of Hackathon

The prime attraction of the Rajasthan DigiFest will be the third edition of Rajasthan Hackathon, which will be organized on 2nd December 2017. You might be aware of what a Hackathon is, but let us revise.

A Hackathon is a 24-hour, multi-topic, innovation marathon for coders, developers, designers, inventors and all-around creators.

The main aim of the Hackathon 2017, Udaipur is to set a platform for the creative youth, startups & entrepreneurs across the country so that they can utilize their out-of-the-box thinking to bring innovation & change. The government of Rajasthan introduced Hackathon to identify creative individuals and teams who can assist the government in solving citizen-centric issues by offering digital yet sustainable solutions to solve real-time challenges on platforms like Bhamashah, e-Mitra Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, AR/VR, Blockchain, Bioinformatics, IOT, and Tourism.

The competing teams shall be awarded handsome prizes of 32.5 lacs. The top three winning teams will earn a contract with Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan worth Rs.15 Lacs, Rs.10 Lacs, and Rs.7.5 Lacs respectively.

The event will witness dignitaries of Government of India and Government of Rajasthan (Department of Industries, BIP, Finance Department, Department of Information Technology & Communication, IT industrialists and members of Rajasthan Venture Capital fund) prominent investors, startups, IT tycoons and innovative minds all under one roof.
