The startup is a powerful concept empowering rural/urban India in its march towards becoming a digital and cashless economy. “Most of the established E-commerce players are extending their reach to Tier-II and Tier-III cities but they only promote established brands, which results in many Indian brands being overlooked, despite the superior quality and better affordability. Apart from severely limiting the demand for these products, this also restricts the choice of the customers to a few vendors whose products they can find online. However, Shoppingkart24 bridges this gap by creating a shopping platform that benefits both the users and vendors,” explains Prateek, a passionate entrepreneur and founder of ShoppingKart24.
Prateek acknowledges the fact that most people today are given to the concept of instant gratification, requiring everything @ease, instantly. However, several vendors in India are still ill equipped or lack the resources to develop an attractive e-portal to boost their business. ShoppingKart24 empowers such vendors and entrepreneurs by giving them a readymade platform to showcase their wares.
“Our aim is to offer the best quality products from different regions of India on a global platform. The plan is to stabilize in the Indian market and subsequently create similar platforms in other countries to promote their products and designs, facilitating trade across borders to make products available to customers globally, at ease,” says Jyotsna Rai, Co-Founder of ShoppingKart24 and an E-commerce expert.
Currently, ShoppingKart24 represents 1100+ sellers from all over India. It added 10,000+ products to its catalogue in the past 6 months. The site recorded 100+ registered customers, 5k-10k visitors/month with 17-20% returning visitors in a span of 3 months. To elevate the user experience further and tap into the expanding m-commerce segment, the team at ShoppingKart24 is working hard to launch a hybrid mobile app with a voice search feature that will be extremely user-friendly.
Talking of competition, ShoppingKart24 recognizes the fact that competition is inevitable, but the company has framed the best of the strategies to cope up with any level of risks. ShoppingKart24’s USP is quite different from most e-tailers – the portal is dedicated to bringing to the fore indigenously crafted product lines that make a statement at affordable rates that will bring back the customers for more.
The startup is also going to launch a mobile application on Android as well as iOS store. Loaded with many immersive features, the app will also host a unique ‘voice search feature’ enabling users to simply speak to search products they wish to buy.
“We are constantly upgrading our internal systems and processes to add many more intuitive features to our web portal as well as mobile application so that we can offer enhanced user experience,” divulged Prateek, “we wish to introduce a fresh business approach with Shoppingkart24 with the one-touch digital philosophy at its core,” he added. As the next step, the company aims to launch offline stores bringing the customers much more closer to the Indian brands that will finally get the attention they deserve.
Aimed at promoting the work of Indian craftsmen, artisans, upcoming entrepreneurs, and designers globally, the startup foresees 10x growth in customers within a span of next 6 months and increase in per customer spend by 2.5 to 3 times. Prateek pins down the success of ShoppingKart24 on the unflinching support, dedicated hard work and co-operation from his entire team. “My TEAM is my most important asset that helped me realize my dream.
