PM Modi: India Among Fastest-Growing Startup Ecosystems in the world
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on the need for sustainable development and the idea of living in peace with nature in a virtual address to Rotary’s 113th annual worldwide convention in Houston on Sunday. From June 4 to 8, the event will take place.
PM Modi stated, “India has one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing startup ecosystems. We in India remain open to learning from global best practices and sharing ours with others.”
The entire community praised India’s pledge to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070, he added. “I’m happy Rotary International is actively working on providing clean drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene,” he said in a statement, adding that during his talk at Rotary International Convention 2022, 1.4 billion Indians are taking every possible effort to make the Earth cleaner and greener.
He also emphasized the Atmanirbhar Bharat movement and how it is taking form in India throughout his address.
The prestigious worldwide event is coming to Houston for the third time, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1972 convention.
Rotary’s past two conventions were hosted virtually due to the global pandemic, so more than 20,000 service-minded people from around the world will assemble in Houston for the conference this year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need of making India self-sufficient and asked Indians to contribute for global development.
India is commemorating its 75th anniversary of independence from colonial domination. To preserve water, a new collaborative movement has emerged. In a final remark at Rotary International Convention 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the movement is motivated by our age-old customs of water conservation mixed with technological technologies.
Several famous names have spoken at recent congregations, including philanthropist Bill Gates, actor and philanthropist Ashton Kutcher, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, actor, producer, presenter, entrepreneur, WWE Superstar, and Rotary polio ambassador John Cena.
