Norwest Venture Partners invests US$1.5 million each in two healthcare startups
Norwest Venture Partners has invested US$1.5 million each, in Multiplier Solutions and ABI Health. Both are early stage investments which are a slight divergence from Norwest’s investment strategy. Norwest has also invested in other healthcare businesses in India.
The current investments have been made with an intent of merging both entities, as it looks to create a specialized healthcare platform. Both Multiplier Solutions and ABI Health provide innovative patient engagement and collaboration solutions to healthcare providers. Together, they provide a suite of products for connecting different participants in the healthcare value chain.
Multiplier Solutions was founded by Vikram Kumar and Saumya Prakash in 2013. It works with leading healthcare chains and pharmaceuticals companies in Iraq, India, UAE and Oman. It helps leading hospital networks to make sense of big data, giving marketers and physician relationship teams actionable insights to drive volume and engagement.
ABI Health was launched in 2013 by Balaji Sundarajan and Ajit Veerappan. It operates a health exchange and is also an image management cloud software provider. Health exchange is one of the most buzzing area in healthcare. The startup has its own imaging suite, called Spectra, which connects doctors, hospitals and patients.
