NASSCOM opens startup warehouse in Odisha
National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) will set up a startup warehouse in Odisha t to incubate and provide hand-holding support to IT startups in the state. The announcement was made at the end of the NASSCOM’s three-day leadership meet in Bhubaneswar. Earlier, NASSCOM has collaborated with the Andhra government for a similar setup.
The NASSCOM also reiterated its commitment to explore further opportunities to partner with the Odisha state government. NASSCOM chairman C P Gurnani said, “We are very encouraged by the proactive support of the state government. They have created the right environment for the growth of the industry, with conducive policies aimed at ease of doing business and we hope this momentum can be sustained through our collaborative efforts in future.”
As a part of this initiative, the Odisha government will provide a 5,000 sq ft space for the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) to NASSCOM for the startup warehouse. The NASSCOM startup warehouses are already operational in cities like Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, New Delhi, Chennai, Noida and Gurgaon (virtual warehouse).
