ISRO Collaborates With Microsoft To Empower Spacetech Startups
ISRO collaborates with Microsoft on Thursday (January 06, 2023) to assist the growth of space technology companies in the country. Through this cooperation, the Microsoft for Entrepreneurs Founders Hub platform, which assists companies at every stage of their development from idea to unicorn, will feature the space tech startups chosen by ISRO.
Using cutting-edge techniques like AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, space tech startups can tremendously benefit from ISRO’s partnership with Microsoft as they analyse and process enormous amounts of satellite data for numerous purposes.
Space-tech company founders in India will receive free access to the technological resources and tools they need to establish and manage their companies through the “Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub”.
This provides access to the best developer and productivity tools available, such as Microsoft 365, GitHub Enterprise, Visual Studio Enterprise, and Power BI, as well as technical support to create and scale on Azure.
According to Anant Maheshwari, President of Microsoft India, “we are firmly dedicated to supporting space tech entrepreneurs in the country to drive cutting edge innovation and accelerate scientific discovery through the use of technological tools, platforms, and mentorship opportunities”.
Microsoft will also support space tech entrepreneurs through mentoring in a variety of fields, including cloud computing, product and design, funding, and sales and marketing.
Additionally, the tech giant said founders will have access to Microsoft Learn for customised startup-centric training content and programmes to aid in their efforts to interact with the business community and potential clients.
Knowledge-sharing and thought-leadership seminars with professionals from the space industry will be organised for the entrepreneurs by Microsoft and ISRO as well.
The government has allowed private players to enter the space industry. More than 100 startups in the spacetech industry are now operating in the nation.
