Forus Health launches 3nethra in the US

Bangalore-based medical devices company, Forus Health Pvt. Ltd has taken its accurate and affordable eye screening device, the 3nethra classic, to international landscape. It has been officially launched the non-mydriatic camera into the US market at the recently concluded American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in Chicago.

According to a company statement, Forus Health has sold over 1,200 classic fundus cameras in 26 countries around the globe and this further solidifies the company’s aim to eradicate preventable blindness throughout the world.

3nethra is a technology innovation which helps in the screening of common eye problems which can lead to blindness. It is simple, portable, rugged and can be operated by a minimally trained technician. Ophthalmologists in attendance were pleased to discover the results of crisp fundus images, the simplicity in its’ use and the financial advantages that the Classic provides as a primary office camera or as a screening camera for satellite offices.

The United States of America is the largest medical devices market in the world and has approximately 35000 practicing ophthalmologists resulting in the massive potential of doing business.
