Ecommerce Startup Meesho Develops Logistics SaaS Platform
Ecommerce startup Meesho is developing a logistics-focused enterprise software solution that can use Small and medium-sized industrial participants.
Meesho can collaborate more closely with regional and local players that frequently lack access to software programs for handling high numbers of eCommerce deliveries. Although Meesho’s current delivery partners would have access to the software solution, it will essentially expand the logistics network for the Bengaluru-based e-commerce company.
According to a source, “getting this product up and operating is one of the company’s primary aims this year.”
Sourabh Pandey, a former executive at Myntra who now oversees Meesho’s fulfillment and user experience, has been given the responsibility of developing the product by Meesho.
“At the moment, only a limited number of industry participants have created end-to-end logistics capabilities, making it impossible for many small logistics businesses and individuals to engage in the ecosystem. We are developing a platform that will give them operational expertise, network design capabilities, access to tools, and technology to be a part of this network, in accordance with our aim to help 100 million small companies prosper online”, the company said in a statement.
Meesho now relies solely on third-party logistics companies like Delhivery, Xpressbees, and Ecom Express to handle its deliveries.
