Cashfree Payments Buys Zecpe in Latest Acquisition
India’s top payments and API banking company, Cashfree Payments buys Zecpe, a one-click checkout firm. Zecpe helps e-commerce companies increase checkout conversion by streamlining and speeding up the consumer experience. Zecpe will now function as a Cashfree Payments wholly-owned subsidiary.
With this purchase Cashfree Payments will elevate the end-to-end checkout and payment experience for its merchants and further improve its Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) checkout capabilities. Zecpe supports incremental monetization and scaling, assisting merchants to boost conversion rates. The current merchant base of Cashfree Payments will benefit from a seamless flow as a result. Through this acquisition, Cashfree Payments will also be able to provide more value-added services, like address pre-filling, fraud detection, and Return to Origin (RTO) minimization. The solution offered by Zecpe is consistent with Cashfree Payments’ product approach, which places a strong emphasis on the advantages for their merchants’ end users.

Hriday Agarwal who is the founder of Zecpe will join as the e-commerce – Checkout head in the Cashfree Payments team. To assist in expanding the product, the Zecpe staff will also join Cashfree Payments with him.
