CA Technologies and IIIT-Hyderabad collaborates to setup a Co-Innovation hub
CA Technologies have collaborated with IIIT Hyderabad to setup a co-innovation lab in its Hyderabad campus with the engineers from the IT firm working in IIIT’s research labs to build new technology prototypes. Both the institutes will collaborate on applied research projects which will include next generation interfaces such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ML (Machine Learning). It is a win-win deal for both the counterparties. For IIIT-Hyderabad, this partnership is likely to result in white papers for publishing in science journals while for CA Technologies, it will help with reference architecture and prototypes that can be adopted for swift development.
Surya Panditi, GM and SVP of CA Technologies, said that “We aim to combine the strengths of research with industry knowledge for significant breakthroughs in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This partnership is another step in our relentless focus on removing the barriers between ideas and outcomes, while deepening our commitment to actively engage with the academia”. Further, IIT’s Director P J Narayanan, added that “This co-innovation initiative will benefit both research and the industry. We believe that the research being done at IIIT-Hyderabad can be productized and will bring research from labs closer to real world problems that the industry is solving”.
