AI Startup Minus Zero Crack Autonomous Vehicles With Nature-Inspired AI

Numerous obstacles have prevented the broad deployment of autonomous mobility.  AI startup Minus Zero, a Bengaluru-based business thinks it has discovered a solution by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) that draws inspiration from nature. In order to push the boundaries of autonomous vehicles (AVs), Minus Zero intends to make AI more like human beings.

According to Gagandeep Reehal, CEO and Co-Founder of Minus Zero, AI must be able to think similarly to humans in order to benefit people. The cognitive approach Minus Zero uses to train its AI models enables them to make decisions based on the actions of several variables, such as automobiles driving in various directions.

The three main foci of Reehal’s nature-inspired AI are representation, prediction, and adaptation. He thinks that rather than remembering individual details, the human brain prioritizes the association between data points. AI can continuously learn new behaviors and adapt to various situations by being taught to search for correlations.

In simulated testing, Minus Zero’s self-driving cars surpassed competitive AI models and demonstrated nearly human-level situational awareness. Reehal claims that in some instances where a human would have made unsafe choices, its AI chose safer ones. Additionally, he sees a day in the future when AVs will be able to communicate with one another, sharing important data and boosting overall security.

In order to build a fleet of autonomous vehicles (AVs), Minus Zero collaborates with manufacturers and provides AI-powered software, dashcams, and sensors. The business hopes to launch in India after raising $1.7 million in finance, with the possibility of expanding production of AVs to other countries based on demand.

The zPod, an all-terrain vehicle from Minus Zero that can achieve Level 5 autonomy—the highest level of autonomous driving without human intervention—was on display at an event. Well-known companies in the autonomous mobility sector, including Waymo, Cruise, Aurora, and Tesla, are rivals of Minus Zero.
