25 Startups Signing MoUs With Centres of Excellence
According to Sivarajah Ramanathan, the chief executive officer of Startup TN states that the Various initiatives of the state government through StartupTN would make Tamil Nadu a global startup destination. The Tamil Nadu government announced on Sunday that up to 25 startups signing MoUs of understanding with the Centres of Excellence that Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated.
The state-of-the-art multi-sector Industry 4.0 Centres of Excellence that have been established by the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) and Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (StartupTN) will enable the startups under the state government’s “Olir” (shine) initiative to expand more quickly.
The three centers of excellence dubbed the Tamil Nadu Smart and Advanced Manufacturing Centre (TANSAM), Tamil Nadu Centre of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing (TANCAM), and Tamil Nadu Advance Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (TAMCOE), were officially opened by Stalin in 2022.
Startups may speed up their design, prototyping, and development testing with the help of these specialized institutions.
Nearly 250 chief executive officers (CEOs) from businesses involved in advanced manufacturing, robotics, e-commerce, aerospace and defense, and agricultural technologies attended a recent event.
The intra-connectivity between government departments and the inter-connectivity with the business sector has been developing, according to S Krishnan, additional chief secretary for the industries department. Initiatives like “Olir” are anticipated to continue this momentum and produce better stakeholder results.
Jayashree Muralidharan, managing director of TIDCO, emphasized the value of startups in maintaining Tamil Nadu’s status as an industrial leader.
Various initiatives of the state government through StartupTN, according to Sivarajah Ramanathan, chief executive officer of Startup TN, would make Tamil Nadu a popular location for startups worldwide.
He noted that the response to the introduction of “Olir” from entrepreneurs has been amazing, and they have requested visits to the Centres of Excellence for exposure.
