Indian startup Oziom enters Sparklabs IoT program

Ahmedabad-based startup Oziom has become the only Indian company to join the Sparklabs Internet of Things Accelerator program with 14 startups from 6 countries. Sparklabs IoT has a $35million fund for startups, the program is based in Songdo, South Korea. The Accelerator program offers, funding, mentorships, office space and direct access to investors and venture capitalists.

Oizom’s patent pending technology is disrupting the Ambient Air Quality monitoring market. The company’s Polludrone is a space saving and cost effective device that bring clear value to potential smart cities around the world. The startup envisages to make the Environment understandable and predictable through a dense network of Polludrones, low cost solar powered air quality monitoring devices which can easily set up in the current city infrastructure.

“Current Air-Quality Monitoring Solution is not Scalable and Sustainable because of Exorbitant Cost, Space Occupation, Energy Consumption and Heavy Operation Cost. Polludrone fits in existing infrastructure (retrofit) and does not occupy any space and manpower. By installing Polludrones, the government authorities and smart cities will have a dense network of data points which will give them a pollution map of the city. Based on which they can take relevant infrastructure and policy level changes,” says Ankit Vyas, CEO,Oizom.
