AlmaMapper acquires VibrantMinds
AlmaMapper Technologies Pvt Ltd, an Ahmedabad based firm, which offers networking and learning platform for colleges, has acquired campus hiring solutions company VibrantMinds Technologies Pvt Ltd.
AlmaMapper had raised INR26 million in seed funding from Oswal Techno ventures LLP. It leveraged this funding to scale up its operations by entering new markets within India and across the world.
AlmaMapper was co-founded by Pankaj Kaul, and Chandra Mauli Sharma. It offers a free student utility platform that that helps students make all the required connects. The company claims to have more than 800K students registered on the platform. The platform also has a functionality for alumni Management and campus placements. Its offerings also include Scout360, a SaaS-based hiring system for companies.
VibrantMinds was founded by Vikas Krishna Shinde in June 2014. focuses on campus recruitment and online assessment services, and it helps in connecting colleges, companies and candidates across India. It has also tied up with colleges/universities and IT training companies across the country.
Over the past couple of years, edu-tech has been keenly eyed by investors and enthusiastic entrepreneurs. While earlier this was a more pronounced trend in the global startup space; however, a lot of successful Indian startups in the edu-tech space have resulted in sort of trend reversal.
