Niranjan Hiranandani vouches for Donald Trump

Indian PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative expected to get a boost, given Trump’s statement on reducing foreigners getting jobs in USA

The United States of America has a new President; Donald Trump – and for Indian real estate, it reflects victory for not just a person, but a brand that has partnered Indian real estate recently, said Niranjan Hiranandani, CMD, Hiranandani Communities and Founder-President NAREDCO (Maharashtra).

“Overall, Donald Trump as President of the USA should be positive for the Indian economy and Indian real estate. For the Global business scenario, it is time to take stock of what changes he will bring about; from the perspective of the Indian people, the victory of Donald Trump is a reflection of the positive vibes that many Indians had expressed during the run-up to the US Presidential Elections,” he said.

The impact on the global job market, especially given Donald Trump’s resistance to granting work visas to non-Americans, will also be felt by Indians, said Niranjan Hiranandani. “The IT and ITeS industry in particular, may face challenging times. In this probable scenario, it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, one which has been perfectly timed; we should encourage Indian Human Resources which might have powered the USA’s economic growth to instead, work for India’s economic growth. It is a simple matter of taking the situation in the right spirit and working on the platform that Indian PM Narendra Modi has created through his ‘Make in India’ initiative,” he said.

“We hope that the new US President will take Indo-USA ties higher, and we hope for further co-operation from the USA, going into the Presidency of Donald Trump,” he concluded.
